Patience is a virtue!

Patience is a virtue which I've been working on lately. Last night I successfully got everyone in bed at a decent time for the first time in a while. I didn't get myself to bed at a decent hour last night, just the family. So, I'm kind of tired! Well tonight seemed OK. I actually thought, 'No big deal. Max and Wes are asleep and I'll get this girl to sleep in a couple minutes and off to bed I go.' Which would have been well before midnight. NOPE!!! She wanted to play and cry and watch TV. I played with her, I let her cry a little, we watched TV a little. I turned the TV off and snuggled her in her swing, which only made her super mad. I set her in her crib to see if she'd go along with the plan of going to sleep. That made her scream louder. I had to get her out of the room before she woke her brother. Wow! That would have been fun. Nothing was getting her tired. But every time I felt myself getting overly tired and frustrated, I hugged her or smelled her chubby little neck. All she wanted was me. That's really sweet!!! I kept saying to myself, 'You can deal with tiredness. Love on your baby!' So here we are at 3am. I'm on the computer so I don't forget anything and she's as you see in the picture. Asleep in her swing.
Frustrating, fun, tiring sweet night. I sure love my Magdalena. She'll never know how much, but I'll try to let her know. Good night!

I love chocolate!!!

I love chocolate. I love it A LOT!!! At one time in my life I didn't think I could give it up for anything. I'm only kind of kidding. Tonight I found that thing though. While enjoying my ghirardelli dark chocolate raspberry bar, I had the pleasure of watching my sweet little boy eat a nutter butter while singing and dancing, with my little girl cooing on my lap, sitting between my handsome husband who was holding my hand and my beautiful niece Sammy who was playing with our singing, dancing while eating little boy. I'd totally give up chocolate for that!

Caution Tape & Orange Cones

If you've ever accidentally bumped your child's
head or knocked them to the ground because you weren't paying close enough attention, raise your hand. Well, I'm unfortunately raising my hand. Yesterday was grocery shopping day, which means multiple stores in not a lot of time. Baby #2 needed to be held while baby #1 sat in the shopping cart tearing through a messy free cookie from the bakery. I tried to clean his face while still holding baby #2 and bumped her head. Oh the screams that came from her tiny little body! Then after everyone was calmed down, fed, rested and home, we decided to go on a walk with Daddy. Baby #1 was on the porch helping me get the stroller ready. I lifted up the front of the stroller not realizing he was standing right behind it and knock him to the ground. He really wasn't happy at all!!! So we finished the day with a scratch under baby #1's left eye and a red mark above baby #2's right eye. Needless to say, I need to have some caution tape and orange cones around me at all times. It's getting ridiculous. Poor babies!!!

Max & Maggie Sharing a Room

Tonight is the second night for Max to sleep in his and Maggie's room. I'm excited to have our room back for ourselves, but I miss him. I've been able to wake up to Max next to me in his crib since he was born. That's a big thing to give up. He's only about 15 ft from me if that, but it's still too far. Oh sweet Maxie-Boy, I love you so!!!

Now onto the big adventures with your sweet little sister that you need to annoy, pick on and protect.

You're both growing too fast!!!

Magdalena's Blessing

Sweet Magdalena was blessed this last Thursday. We held off a bit so we could have more family attend. I told everyone to be at my brother and sisters house at 7pm sharp and guess who was late... Yep, me! But as soon as all the priesthood stood around our little sweetie, my hurried mood changed. It was awesome! I'm so thankful for the blessing of having the priesthood in my family's life.

Uncle Russ, Uncle Adam, Cousin Andy, Cousin Sam, Cousin Zack, Grandpa Hatch, Daddy, Magdalena, Uncle Hod, Uncle Cline, Uncle Troy and Cousin Brian. Now that's quite a group!

I love this picture of Grandpa and Uncle Cline with Maggie.

Wes has a star above his head and I have Maggie's binky holder on my shirt. All not planned as far as I know, but very memorable. LOL!

Beautiful Grandma with Maggie.

Very happy family! Max wearing his awesome jacket with the elbow patches.

and for the cherry on top... Margie feeding Baby Bobbi a cookie. What a love!!!

I really appreciate my sweet sister and brother for letting us have so many people invade their home for a night. There's no way they'd fit in ours. LOL!
